Day Three: Upon the desk...
Upon the desk next to the busy woman lay the core of her ever-browning, Red Delicious apple ~ a spiral of bites long removed.

Day Two: There was a sense of hurry...
There was a sense of hurry in the supermarket this evening. As distracted shoppers shopped, carts bumped against carts. Pieces of cardboard fell from a half-empty display. I steered clear, and obeyed the rules of the aisle.

Day One: There is a slight chill...
There is a slight chill in the house: the temperature outside must have dropped. One lamp is lit in here. It casts a rosy glow across the wall and ceiling, and somehow warms me on the inside.
Welcome 2013 and the Mindful Writing Challenge
Each day, during the month of January, I will be writing "small stones" as part of what is now called: The Mindful Writing Challenge.
